I must say, I am enjoying this post-election period even more than I anticipated. I just love the thought of Obama issuing executive orders on the first day, undoing the heinousness of policies like the
Global Gag Rule. I also love the thought of the Obama family in the White House. Perhaps I shouldn't admit this, but I am even enjoying the saga of the First Puppy. I propose convening a G-8 summit to determine the proper course of action.
(I'll return to my usual cynicism once Obama starts compromising too much.)
As I was working on this cartoon in a coffee shop, a college-aged woman sat down nearby. Her phone had a ringtone that sounded like an old-fashioned bicycle horn. At first it was mildly amusing. But then the bicycle horn went off every time she received a text, which was every few minutes. Honestly, what are these people thinking? Have they not discovered the miracle of the "vibrate" function?
My Final Countdown blog cycled off the front page of the C-VILLE Weekly website before I had a chance to write my goodbye post, so in case you missed it (or my election night coverage, for that matter), you can still read it
here.
